Maria Alicia Cordova

Maria Alicia Cordova is the Founder and Executive Director of Divine Empowerment Org | La Fuerza Divina, a Phoenix-based nonprofit dedicated to strengthening families and preventing cycles of trauma through culturally grounded, trauma-informed programming.
Her leadership is rooted in over 30 years of lived experience within the communities she serves, providing a deep understanding of the challenges families face and the systems that impact them. She leads the organization’s strategy across program delivery, partnerships, and systems-level initiatives focused on prevention, family stability, and youth development.
Her approach reflects a commitment to faith, resilience, and service, carrying forward a legacy grounded in cultural identity, perseverance, and responsibility to community.

Angelica Cordova

Angelica Cordova serves as a Board Director for Divine Empowerment and represents a foundational influence within the organization. Raised within the realities of migrant family life, her early experiences were shaped by hard work, cultural identity, and a deep sense of responsibility to family. Those experiences instilled values of resilience, faith, and perseverance that have guided her throughout her life.
Her presence reflects leadership grounded in lived experience, cultural connection, and a lifelong dedication to supporting families and community. Through her example, she continues to influence the organization’s values, ensuring that its work remains rooted in compassion, dignity, and understanding.

Marcos Cordova
Board Member | Community Advocate | Family Legacy Leader
Marcos Cordova serves as a Board Member for Divine Empowerment and represents a legacy of perseverance, advocacy, and service rooted in lived experience.
Born in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico and raised in San Luis Río Colorado, his early life was shaped by economic hardship and a strong sense of responsibility. After immigrating without English, he faced significant barriers but remained determined to build a better future. Through discipline and persistence, he graduated from Kofa High School and continued his education at Arizona Western College and Arizona State University.
He later dedicated his career to public service with the State of Arizona, becoming a strong advocate for migrant and agricultural workers. Through coalition work and broader engagement, he contributed to efforts that elevated the voices of working families, including participation in national-level discussions connected to the White House.
His life reflects a lasting commitment to service, resilience, and justice, and continues to influence the mission and direction of Divine Empowerment.

Crystal Cordova

Crystal Cordova serves as a Board Member and Director of Outreach for Divine Empowerment, where she leads community engagement efforts and coordinates events that connect families to resources and services.
Her work is centered on building strong community relationships, organizing impactful events, and creating accessible opportunities for families to receive support. Her leadership helps maintain a visible and trusted presence within the community.

Isaac Cordova

Isaac Cordova serves as a Board Member and Treasurer for Divine Empowerment, providing financial oversight and supporting the organization’s long-term sustainability.
In addition, he leads fatherhood-focused programming that works directly with men to strengthen family relationships and promote engaged parenting. His contributions support both the operational strength and community impact of the organization.
